Michigan running back Blake Corum will return to Ann Arbor in 2023 for his final season with the Wolverines.
The unanimous All-American appeared on The Rich Eisen Show to announce his intentions to play another year in the maize and blue. He also took to Twitter to spread the message far and wide.

Corum rushed for 1,463 yards and contributed 19 total touchdowns to the Michigan offense this past season. Additionally, he had at least 25 carries and 100 yards in each game he played for the Wolverines before he suffered a knee injury in his team's matchup with Illinois, which would later limit him against Ohio State and force him to miss the College Football Playoff due to him needing season-ending surgery.
Because of his effectiveness in a workhorse role, Corum was a Heisman Trophy contender for most of the year. Once the regular season concluded, he was honored with the first-team All-Big Ten honors, the conference's Ameche-Dayne Running Back of the Year Award and All-American selections from the AP, Sporting News, Football Writers Association of America, American Football Coaches Association and the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
Corum will return to the Michigan backfield alongside Donovan Edwards, who finished the year with 991 yards and seven touchdowns, including 520 yards and three scores in the Wolverines' final three games against Ohio State, Purdue in the Big Ten Championship and TCU in the Fiesta Bowl.
When fully healthy, Corum and Edwards create one of the most dynamic running back combos in college football, as proven by their combined performances against Penn State this past season, when they rushed for 339 yards and four touchdowns to help the Wolverines defeat the Nittany Lions, 41-17, in Ann Arbor.
With rising junior J.J. McCarthy also set to return to Michigan in 2023, the Wolverines will have a veteran backfield ready to make noise next fall, as the program is coming off back-to-back wins over Ohio State along with two consecutive Big Ten titles and CFP appearances.
Ohio State and Michigan will battle in the 119th edition of The Game on Nov. 25 in the Big House and will look to claim its first win over the Wolverines since Nov. 30, 2019.
