There's a new QB1 in Ann Arbor.
On Monday, Sherrone Moore named Alex Orji as Michigan's starter for its showdown with No. 11 USC on Saturday. Orji replaced the Wolverines' now-former starter, Davis Warren, in the team's 28-18 win over Arkansas State after Warren threw three interceptions in the contest.

A third-year from Sachse, Texas, Orji is a dual-threat who's shown more promise as a runner than a thrower. Across 12 total appearances for the Wolverines, Orji has run the ball 31 times for 181 yards and three touchdowns. In contrast, he has recorded seven pass attempts, completing four of them for 20 yards and two scores.
Despite Orji's lack of experience, Moore said Monday he looks forward to seeing what Orji can accomplish when the 2-0 Trojans enter the Big House as a touchdown favorite.
"I'm excited to see him get in there and chop it up a bit," Moore said, per Tony Garcia of the Detroit Free Press. "We'll move on from there."
