Silly topic perhaps...but as a 71 year old boomer, I grew up hearing a boatload of sayings, expressions, and anecdotes that leave kids today scratching their heads like a monkey reading Greek. Just wondering if any of you parents, grandparents, or others have experienced this. I have a few examples; the third one I find hilarious...
I asked my granddaughter to roll down the window in her car the other day...I got "the look."
My daughter got an unwanted telemarketing call a while back and I told her to just hang up...I got "the look."
My favorite actually happened to my son who, at the time, managed the Circleville Wendy's on 23. A young employee was having difficulty getting a fryer clean, so my son told him to "try a little elbow grease." The young man disappeared, only to be found in the supply room frustrated because he could not find the elbow grease anywhere!
Feel free to share others because, sure as shootin', there are bound to be some!
