My wife was life flighted while on a cruise last week. I was unable to go with her in the helicopter, so we were separated for three days, while she was critically ill. One of the things that got me through it were the well-wishes and supportive replies from other 11W commenters. A quick "hope everything is ok" or "praying for you both" may not seem like much, but they mean a lot when you are only able to communicate with a handful of family members and friends in limited fashion. I was able to get to the hospital first thing on Saturday morning (they made sure I was the 1st one off the ship), and she was cleared to fly back home late last night. We still have a long battle ahead (cancer sucks), but they were able to resolve the immediately life-threatening issue that warranted a life flight. Thank you again.
