Another week, another Vegas Power Ratings update from Phil Steele
- Dawgs make nearly three point improvement while Bucks drop almost a whole point and are now dead even. It appears the Georgia vs Oregon and UT may be the "real" Georgia. While they are knocked for close games at Missouri and Kent St., I don't doubt they were playing with their food now that we have seen them at their best.
- Michigan also with a big jump of about two points. Line today would be about OSU -10 according to this. But that's a shrinking line compared to last week.
- Bama still Vegas' 3rd best team on a neutral field, but likely out of any playoff talk barring a longshot situation.
- LSU up four spots, into the top ten
- PSU up two spots to #11
- ND up eleven spots to #14. Who the hell are the real Irish?
- Texas still a darling. They did cover the spread last week, surprising many. Big game against TCU. I am seeing UT -6.5 which is about the difference here, with a small home field advantage to UT.
- I'm not buying the hype of Maryland being any sort of look-ahead scare. If they were borderline top 25 I'd say maybe, but OSU has dominated all team outside of top 25 (obv. NW the outlier)
