Ohio State’s medal count at the 2024 Paris Olympics is up to six.
Keana Hunter, an incoming Ohio State freshman, and Ruby Remati, who helped the Buckeyes win national championships in artistic swimming (previously known as synchronized swimming) in 2022 and 2023, were a part of the U.S. artistic swimming team that won the silver medal in Paris on Wednesday following three days of competition.

Hunter and Remati helped the United States win its first Olympic medal in artistic swimming since 2004. The U.S. team had failed to qualify for each of the last three Summer Olympics.
They join former Ohio State swimmer Hunter Armstrong and fencers Eleanor Harvey and Maximilien Chastanet as Buckeyes who have won medals at the 2024 Olympics. Armstrong won both a gold medal in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay and a silver medal in the 4x100 medley relay. Harvey won bronze in the women’s individual foil, becoming the first-ever Canadian fencer to win an Olympic medal, while Chastanet won bronze in the men’s team foil.
