I was looking at the box score to see where the team faltered and at first I couldn't figure it out. Ohio State shot 40.6% FG compared to Indiana's 43.5%, but we made 1 more shot than they did, although taking 7 more. From 3PT, Ohio State shot 44.4%, Indiana only shot 20.0%, making 8 while Indy only had 3, and from the charity stripe, Ohio State shot 78.6%, while Indiana shot 73.2%. When I started looking closer, I realized a HUGE discrepancy in free throws attempted. Ohio State had 14 attempts while Indiana had 41!!!!. Ohio State was 11-14, Indiana was 30-41, scoring 19 more points from free throws than Ohio State did. I have never seen that big of a discrepancy and could imagine the outrage if there was a game thread for a game like that.
