#WatchListSZN is beginning once again.
The Lott IMPACT Trophy released its watch list on Tuesday, and Ohio State defensive end Zach Harrison is among the 42 preseason nominees for the award, which is named after USC and San Francisco 49ers football great Ronnie Lott and honors a defensive player that makes the biggest IMPACT – Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity – for his team on and off the field.

While Harrison hasn't yet made a huge impact on the field for the Buckeyes, he's a projected starter at defensive end in 2021, when he'll look to have a breakout junior season and live up to the lofty expectations that have surrounded him throughout his Ohio State career as a five-star recruit.
Ryan Day singled out Harrison as one of the Buckeyes’ best leaders this spring, making him a strong candidate to be a team captain this year, and he's also been a leader off the field by serving on the Big Ten's Anti-Hate and Anti-Racism Coalition.
Harrison was one of several football players who Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith praised during an appearance on Real Pod Wednesdays last month.
“His personality has really evolved, really evolved, and I love seeing that,” Smith said.
