If you don’t know Max Browne—who aside from looking like Joe Burrow’s older brother—he was a 5-star QB who went to USC and later transferred to Pitt. In this clip, he talks about how many coaches rely by a rigid 15-play script to open a game but he applauds Ryan Day (although from everything we’re hearing, Chip Kelly deserves as much if not more credit) for showing more flexibility by having a group of plays that he calls “openers” that he wants to choose from but not in a pre-set order. Something to keep an eye on today, on both sidelines.
