I admittedly don’t watch that many NFL games—but I do typically watch the Super Bowl. And besides hoping for a good game, I typically hope that the team that has any former Buckeyes on it will prevail.
So tomorrow I will be pulling for Parris Campbell and his Eagles teammates.
When I think of Parris, the first memory that comes to mind is of when he left a bunch of guys from Michigan in the dust to the point where it reminded me of kids in a pick-up game where one kid in particular is so obviously vastly superior to the rest.
And that memory made me wonder: was that play the final breaking point for Michigan that ultimately drove it to the cheating that ensued? Remember, 2018 was supposed to be Michigan’s breakthrough year with its so-called Revenge Tour.
And Parris’ 78-yard jet sweep TD was the score that essentially put the game out of reach in the 4th Q. Think of how crushing that must have been for Harbaugh and his staff.
I have included a link below to Parris’ video highlights from that day including that incredible long-distance TD. Quite frankly, I had forgotten what an amazing overall performance he’d had that day.
So here’s to Parris and hoping he gets a chance tomorrow to demonstrate what he is capable of.
