Maxwell Riley, Ohio’s top offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class, commits to Ohio State.
A top cornerback target in the 2026 class has set up a spring visit to Ohio State.
Four-star New Jersey prospect Jordan Thomas will be at OSU on March 17, he told 247Sports. Thomas has been at OSU several times throughout his recruitment, including his gameday visit to campus in November. Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Thomas is considered the No. 177 prospect and No. 18 cornerback in the 2026 class.
“I had a great experience on my visit and had fun watching the game,” Thomas told Eleven Warriors after the visit. “The team is looking like a national championship contender. They executed on all aspects of the game. I like how the defense completely shut out their opponent. I spoke with coach Day, coach Walton, coach Guerrieri, along with others. It was made clear that I am a priority for them and that they think I would be a great fit for their program.”
Thomas got offered by OSU last April and hopes to commit sometime before the start of his senior season.
“It felt amazing,” Thomas said of his Ohio State offer. “I felt very thankful and honored to be blessed with the opportunity to play at The Ohio State University. I would say the development is the most appealing part of potentially playing at OSU.”
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Thomas said he heard from Walton nearly every day throughout the fall.
“I am a versatile athlete that understands the game and can make game-changing plays when the opportunity is provided,” Thomas said describing his on-field game. “I can play all types of coverages and can shut down my side of the field as well as anyone who lines up against me in man coverage.”
Donovan Webb and Mack Sutter set official visits to Columbus for May 30
Two Ohio State targets in the 2026 class have set official visits to OSU this summer.
Four-star safety Donovan Webb and four-star tight end Mack Sutter will be in Columbus on May 30 for their official visits, as the Buckeyes continue their pursuit of each prospect.
Webb is a top-300 prospect nationally who also has visits set up to Texas Tech, Kansas State, TCU, Baylor, SMU, Michigan, LSU and Oklahoma. We’ll see if anything changes on his visit, but you’d probably be smart to take the field over Ohio State for Webb at the moment.
Sutter is a top-100 prospect who would give OSU a standout one-two punch at tight end for the 2026 cycle along with Ohio State commit Corbyn Fordham. The Buckeyes are in hot pursuit of Sutter, who has narrowed his recruitment down to five schools: Ohio State, Alabama, Illinois, Ole Miss and Penn State.
Carsyn Baker confirms official visit to Ohio State on June 13
A top running back target in the 2026 cycle has also set up an official visit to Ohio State. Four-star Georgia tailback Carsyn Baker will be in Columbus on June 13 and also has visits planned to Clemson, Florida State and Texas A&M.
Baker is considered the No. 175 prospect and the No. 14 running back in the 2026 class. The 6-foot, 195-pound running back ran for 1,282 yards on 145 carries with 14 rushing touchdowns and caught nine passes for 89 receiving yards.
