The best team in Columbus? That's easy – it's the No. 1 Ohio State men's volleyball team.

The defending national champions (9–0) knocked off No. 4 Long Beach State (7–2) in four sets Saturday night to up the program's winning streak to 32 straight matches, tying a 47-year old program record.

Loyola owns a 40-match winning streak, while the NCAA record is believed to be he held by UCLA, winners of 47-straight at one point.

During the streak, the Buckeyes have won 96 of 115 sets (83%) and last suffered a loss on February 6, 2016, when the Buckeyes lost to Ball State.

Ironically, it was Ball State who snapped Ohio State's 32-match winning streak in 1970. And – get this – the Buckeyes' next opponent is Ball State. They'll face the Cardinals on Thursday, Feb. 2 in Muncie, Indiana.
