The Buckeyes did it by knocking off Illinois, who came in as the No. 16 overall team in the country. Ohio State came in at No. 2, and certainly lived up to it, rolling through Minnesota and Michigan in the early rounds before dispatching Illinois in the finals.
Ohio State will now prepare for the NCAA Tournament, which will begin on May 3. The ultimate goal will be to get to Orlando, where the NCAA Championships will be held beginning on May 16.
