The week on social media for Ohio State Athletics started off with a bang, as Jake Diebler became the first head coach in college basketball since the 1996-97 season to defeat an AP Top 5 team in a debut.

Diebler gave an interview with Big Ten Network in the aftermath of his historic win in which he highlighted the wealth of advice and perspective he received to prepare him for this moment.

The upset over the second-ranked team in the country capped a clean weekend for Ohio State athletics, one that school president Ted Carter made sure did not go unnoticed.

It was such a successful weekend for Buckeye sports, even legends around campus such as JR Laws had a moment in the sun!

As for the professional Buckeyes this week, Malaki Branham stole the spotlight out from the rest late last night after nearly putting LeBron James on a poster with a thunderous slam dunk over one of the greatest basketball players ever. Nike can't delete this footage!

Meanwhile, nearly four years after leaving Ohio State and following roughly three seasons in the G-League, former Buckeye D.J. Carton seems poised to finally make an NBA debut with the Toronto Raptors.

Pivoting to football, Tim Walton's recruiting success appears to have extended beyond the nation's top defensive backs and into the music industry.

Speaking of the music industry, guess who Marvin Harrison Jr. met while at the Drake concert this week? Proud Ohioan Dave Chappelle!

Where will Route Man Marv land in the NFL Draft two months from now? He would probably welcome the opportunity to land with a former Buckeye quarterback such as Justin Fields, but are the Chicago Bears going to keep the latter around?

Not if social media behavior serves any indication, although Fields claims folks may be reading into his Instagram follows and unfollows a bit too much.

As for other former Ohio State football players this week, Bobby Carpenter and more ex-Buckeyes enjoyed the annual Cruise for Cancer in the Bahamas.

Back to campus, if you're looking for the best nickname around Columbus these days, look no further than Caleb Fyock in goal for OSU men's lacrosse — aka Big Tasty.

Men's hockey has also gone on a stunning hot streak of late, ripping off three straight wins against top-5 ranked opponents — the most recent of which proved to be Michigan State last night.

Finally, This Week in Twitter concludes with a nod to National Chili Day — a momentous occasion for Skyline fans across Ohio as well as a certain former Buckeye football coach.
