Ohio State opened its 2018-2019 basketball season Wednesday evening on a high note, beating Cincinnati by a 64-56 final at Fifth Third Arena.
Four Buckeyes turned in double-digit scoring efforts (Kaleb Wesson, C.J. Jackson, Luther Muhammad and Kyle Young) in the win while Ohio State's defense held the Bearcats' offense to just a 27.4 shooting percentage throughout the contest. The Buckeyes now return to home to face Purdue Fort Wayne at 4 p.m., Sunday.
