Jamison Battle has worked his way to a full-time roster spot in the NBA.
The former Ohio State forward completed his journey from undrafted free agent through two different non-committal contract structures to a locked-in three-year deal with the Toronto Raptors after carving out a role in his rookie season, per ESPN.

Battle initially joined the Raptors for the NBA's summer league, where he impressed by posting 7.4 points in just 14 minutes per game, shooting 9-of-15 from 3 in five games. After the first two of those games Toronto signed him to an Exhibit 10 deal, which was converted to a two-way contract between the Raptors and their G League affiliate, Raptors 905.
Still, Toronto made frequent use of him at the NBA level. Battle has played 35 games this year, averaging 5.4 points and 1.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 41.7% from 3. His new contract indicates that he'll see plenty more NBA action in the future.
Battle played one season at Ohio State after transferring from Minnesota, scoring 15.3 points per game while shooting 43.3% from 3 for the Buckeyes.
