Yes, that's, Ohio State commitment Kareem Walker, the country's top-ranked running back and future Heisman Trophy winner, visiting Auburn and Alabama on consecutive days, seemingly unplanned.
Let the panic begin.
But seriously, don't panic.
The Ohio State staff is aware of the visits. Walker is in Alabama for camps – he'll return to New Jersey on Monday night – and decided to make the college visits in tandem with that camp.
In an ideal world, you certainly don't want the face of your recruiting class to be visiting anywhere else, let alone schools with the reputations and prestige of Auburn and Alabama, but it's 2015, and this is recruiting.
Walker continues to be say the right things privately and remains a very vocal part of the Buckeyes' 2016 class.
"I know all the kids in the class," Walker told Eleven Warriors on Thursday. "Do I feel like we could talk more? Sure, but everyone's busy. We're all Buckeyes though and it's always love when we talk to each other."
Walker is planning on a trip to Tennessee in mid-June with a number of New Jersey players and says he expects to be at Ohio State in July.
Long story short? Ohio State feels comfortable with Walker visiting elsewhere, and confident that they're in the best position to provide the 6-foot-1, 210-pounder with what he's looking for in a school. Still, the recruiting world never stops and there's going to be reason to sweat until signing day for Walker and every player the Buckeyes have committed.
