Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer and defensive line coach Larry Johnson traveled to Idaho on Tuesday afternoon to make their final pitch to four-star defensive tackle Tommy Togiai.
After an in-school visit, the 6-foot-3, 295-pound Togiai surprised the coaches by pledging his services to the Buckeyes. It was a huge win for Johnson, in particular, who has faced retirement rumors this recruiting cycle.
Togiai's father, Talalelei, shared video of his son telling the coaches of his decision. You could say Johnson was pretty excited.
"Urban said he's never see Coach J move like that before," he said.
