Ohio State has hit the recruiting trail hard in the month of January, seemingly extending offers to new prospects left and right.
Naturally, it comes as no surprise that Ohio State offered four more players in the last 24 hours, with two coming in the 2024 cycle and two in the 2025 class. Among those offered include a highly-touted 2025 five-star cornerback, a talented four-star cornerback and four-star offensive tackle in 2024 and a rising in-state prospect in the 2025 cycle.
We’ll delve into each below.
Devin Sanchez
Ohio State safeties coach Perry Eliano continues to hit Texas hard with offers in the last month, and on Thursday, he offered one of the more highly-touted defensive backs in the 2025 class in five-star Texas cornerback Devin Sanchez.

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Sanchez is considered the 25th-ranked prospect nationally and the second-best cornerback in the 2025 cycle. He’s picked up 24 Division I offers thus far, including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, TCU, Tennessee, Texas and USC.
Sanchez was selected as a first-team sophomore All-American by MaxPreps after a standout 2022 season in which he helped lead Texas powerhouse North Shore to a 15-1 season. Last year, he registered 36 tackles, four interceptions and 18 pass breakups.
Sanchez is the fourth cornerback OSU has offered in 2025 and is the most highly-touted by far early in the cycle. Other offers include Blake Woodby, Faheem Delane and Jontae Gilbert, who is OSU’s lone commitment in the 2025 class.
Dakoda Fields
If Ohio State is recruiting someone with the last name of Fields, you know they probably have to be pretty good, right? The Buckeyes certainly hope they can land another superstar with that last name after offering four-star 2024 California cornerback Dakoda Fields on Wednesday evening.

Fields is considered the 111th-best player nationally and the eighth-rated cornerback in the 2024 class. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Fields has also picked up 23 Division I offers thus far, including Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, UCLA, USC and Washington.
In seven games for Junipero Serra (Gardena, California) in 2022, Fields recorded 14 tackles and six pass deflections.
Max Anderson
OSU has added another highly-touted offensive tackle prospect to its 2024 recruiting board after offensive line coach Justin Frye offered four-star Texas prospect Max Anderson on Thursday.

Marquise Davis
Ohio State also offered an in-state prospect in the 2025 class, with Cleveland running back Marquise Davis being the latest Ohio prospect to receive an offer after Tony Alford stopped by Davis’ school Thursday.

The 6-foot, 190-pound Davis does not hold a composite ranking from 247Sports yet, but has picked up 14 Division I offers, including Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and West Virginia.
Davis has been a frequent visitor to OSU, attending multiple home games last fall and one of OSU’s bowl practices in December.
Last season for Cleveland Heights, Davis ran for 869 yards on 74 carries with 11 rushing touchdowns as a sophomore en route to helping his team to a 10-2 record.
Ole Miss transfer CB Davison Igbinosun to make OSU official visit
Perhaps Ohio State isn’t done with transfer portal additions just yet. Per a report from 247Sports, Ole Miss transfer cornerback Davison Igbinosun is planning on taking an official visit to Columbus.
Igbinosun is scheduled to take an official visit to UCLA this weekend, then could take one to OSU shortly after. Other contenders for Igbinosun include Tennessee and Michigan.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Igbinosun has three years of eligibility remaining and had a prolific freshman season for the Rebels, being named a 2022 Freshman All-American by College Football News. Igbinosun played in all 13 games for Ole Miss last season (starting 10), and compiled 37 tackles and five pass deflections.
