Brian Hartline is everywhere.

With Mylan Graham's commitment to Ohio State on Tuesday, less than four months after Jeremiah Smith pledged his services to the Buckeyes, Hartline has landed two more five-star wide receivers to add to an already loaded wide receiver room in Columbus.

Graham and Smith's commitments extend Ohio State's dominance in recruiting wide receivers since Hartline took over as the Buckeyes' full-time coach at the position before the 2019 season, as the program remains the clear frontrunner of top-100 and top-50 wideouts in the last six cycles.

To best illustrate that point, here are all the Division I programs that have landed a wide receiver ranked as a top-100 overall prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings since 2019, and how many each of them have landed:

  • Ohio State: 16
  • Alabama: 8
  • Georgia: 7
  • LSU: 6
  • Clemson, Oklahoma: 5
  • USC, Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon: 4
  • Texas, TCU: 3
  • North Carolina, Notre Dame, Tennessee: 2
  • Mizzou, Arizona, Jackson State, Penn State, Kentucky, Maryland, Washington, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Stanford, Louisville, Nebraska, Ole Miss: 1

And here is the list of schools that have landed a wide receiver ranked as a top-50 overall prospect in that same time:

  • Ohio State: 7
  • Alabama: 5
  • USC, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Georgia: 3
  • Texas, Notre Dame: 2
  • Oregon, Mizzou, LSU, Maryland, Clemson, Florida State: 1

For those who like to keep track of this stuff, Ohio State has eight more wide receivers ranked as top-100 prospects than second-place Alabama. Those players include Graham (2024), Smith (2024), Carnell Tate (2023), Brandon Inniss (2023), Noah Rogers (2023), Kyion Grayes (2022), Kaleb Brown (2022), Emeka Egbuka (2021), Marvin Harrison Jr. (2021), Jayden Ballard (2021), Julian Fleming (2020), Jaxon Smith-Njigba (2020), Gee Scott Jr. (2020), Mookie Cooper (2020), Garrett Wilson (2019) and Jameson Williams (2019).

The Buckeyes also have a decisive lead in the top-50 race for wideouts. Smith (No. 2 overall in 2024) and Graham (No. 26) became the sixth and seventh Ohio State receiver commitments with that distinction over the last six years, with the other prospects in that category being Inniss (No. 35), Egbuka (No. 10), Fleming (No. 3), Smith-Njigba (No. 29) and Wilson (No. 20). Those seven receivers are the highest-rated receiver commits in Ohio State history.
