One of Ohio State’s defensive tackle targets for the 2024 class has narrowed down his recruitment.
Three-star Florida prospect Jayden Jackson released a top five on Wednesday: Ohio State, Texas, Miami, Oklahoma and Florida.
First and foremost I want to thank God for his continuous blessings, I also would like to thank my Mom for everything that she has done for me. With that being said I will be taking the next step in my recruiting process. TOP 5 pic.twitter.com/eDYEy1UR74

The 6-foot-2, 300-pound prospect received his Ohio State offer on Jan. 11 and visited on April 15 for the Buckeyes’ spring game.
“I’ve been there multiple times, and I was hoping that would be a school I eventually got an offer to,” Jackson told Eleven Warriors when he picked up his offer. “I’ve liked them ever since I was a kid. They’ve always been a college that shines. Them winning the championship (in 2014) when I was a kid definitely piqued my interest.”
Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, the IMG Academy (Bradenton, Florida) product is considered the 651st-rated prospect and the 61st-ranked defensive tackle.
“I’d probably say my physicality straight off the line,” Jackson said of his best on-field attribute. “A lot of guards and centers usually don’t expect it. So that allows me to shed and make the tackle.”
Jackson will likely take an official visit to Ohio State sometime this summer.
