Most of you already know this, but that first Monday, er, Tuesday in this case, coming back to work after taking a week off can hit you like a train as you rush to catch up on what you missed.

Nevertheless, the start of OSU’s official visit season is less than a week away, and we’ve got some recruiting news items to cover before then. So let’s get right to it, shall we?

Sean Sevillano sets top 4 and commitment date

One of Ohio State’s defensive tackle targets for the 2024 class will make his college decision this week. Three-star Florida prospect Sean Sevillano announce his commitment at noon Friday on 247Sports and choose from a top four consisting of Ohio State, Notre Dame, Auburn and Miami.

Sevillano picked up his OSU offer on March 3 and previously scheduled an official visit to Columbus for this weekend. A few days ahead of the commitment, the consensus from the recruiting industry is that Sevillano will likely commit to Notre Dame Friday. Should he commit to the Fighting Irish, it’s a good bet Sevillano won’t take an official to OSU this weekend as the Buckeyes turn their attention elsewhere to fill their needs in the defensive trenches.

Reggie Powers and Liam Andrews list Buckeyes in top schools

One of Ohio State’s top remaining safety targets in 2024 has narrowed his recruitment down to five schools. Ohio prospect Reggie Powers released a top five consisting of Ohio State, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Northwestern and Michigan State.

At the Under Armour Next camp in Ohio earlier this month, Powers told Eleven Warriors he plans on taking official visits to each of those schools mentioned, with his trip to Columbus scheduled for June 23.

“My eyes are still open to everyone,” Powers said after the camp. “Of course, (Ohio State is) my dream school. So I feel some type of way toward them too. But I’m excited to keep building that relationship with them and everyone else.”

Meanwhile, OSU also made the cut for four-star Massachusetts 2024 offensive lineman Liam Andrews, who included the Buckeyes on his top eight along with Penn State, Wisconsin, LSU, Oklahoma, Miami, Florida and South Carolina.

Andrews is likely to play guard at the next level considering his size at 6-foot-5, 260 pounds. The top-100 prospect is heavily considering taking an official visit to OSU sometime next month.

OSU offers 2026 QB Jared Curtis

Ohio State has offered another quarterback in the 2026 class. Tennessee signal caller Jared Curtis joined Georgia prospect Julian Lewis as the only two quarterbacks in that cycle to earn an OSU offer on Thursday.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Curtis has picked up nearly 15 Division I offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.

As a freshman, Curtis threw for 2,285 yards while throwing 27 touchdowns to eight interceptions. He completed nearly 60 percent of his passes, completing 123 in 208 attempts.

D’Antre Robinson to take official visit to OSU June 8

A defensive tackle in the 2024 class is planning on taking an official visit to OSU. Four-star Florida prospect D’Antre Robinson told 247Sports he’s scheduled an official visit to Columbus for June 8. Other official visits Robinson has scheduled include Florida, Texas and Georgia.

“OSU has been one of the top dogs for a long time now,” Robinson told 247Sports.
