Ohio State's 2024 recruiting class has shrunk by one.
After a late push, Oregon did enough to flip four-star OSU wide receiver commit Jeremiah McClellan on National Signing Day Wednesday, bringing the Buckeyes’ commit total down to 20.

Per 247Sports' composite rankings, McClellan is viewed as the 49th-best prospect and the 13th-ranked wideout in the 2024 class. He had been committed to OSU since Aug. 13.
With McClellan's departure, OSU now has only two wide receiver commits for the 2024 class, a pair of five-star wideouts in Jeremiah Smith and Mylan Graham. With as much talent as Brian Hartline accumulated at the position, it's unlikely the Buckeyes will need to head to the transfer portal to find a replacement wide receiver even with McClellan’s departure, though his flip is a significant blow to Ohio State’s 2024 class.
