Thursday was a good night for Ohio State as Marvin Harrison Jr. became the first receiver in school history to become a top-five pick in the NFL draft.

But the Buckeyes were also on the recruiting trail over the past 36 hours looking for the next wave of talent to come through Columbus, with three new offers being extended. The offers went to one prospect in each of the 2025, 2026 and 2027 recruiting classes. We’ll break all of them down below.

Andrew Stargel

OSU offensive line coach Justin Frye offered a rising offensive line prospect in the 2025 class. Frye offered Georgia resident Andrew Stargel on Friday afternoon, expanding Ohio State’s offensive line recruiting board slightly as the Buckeyes look to take at least two more offensive linemen this cycle.

Stargel does not hold a 247Sports composite ranking as of yet, as the Roswell, Georgia resident is a bit of a late bloomer in the recruiting cycle. The 6-foot-4, 284-pound offensive lineman has earned more than 30 Division I offers, with many of them coming within the last two months. Other schools who have offered include Kentucky, Georgia State, Liberty, Pittsburgh, UCF, Boston College, Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Indiana, James Madison, Kansas, Kent State, Marshall, UMass, Memphis, Miami (Ohio), Toledo, Tulane, UAB, USF, Vanderbilt and Western Kentucky.

Mack Sutter

Ohio State tight ends coach Keenan Bailey made a big stop on the recruiting trail Thursday in Illinois and offered four-star 2026 tight end Mack Sutter.

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Sutter is the No. 99 prospect nationally and the No. 1 player in Illinois in the 2026 class. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound prospect has accumulated 21 Division I offers, including Ole Miss, Purdue, Virginia Tech, Alabama, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, Penn State, Texas A&M, USF and Wisconsin.

Mark Bowman

Bailey also extended Ohio State’s second offer in the entire 2027 class. California tight end Mark Bowman picked up the offer after a productive conversation with Bailey on Thursday, joining Texas running back Landen Williams-Callis as the first two players with Ohio State offers in the 2027 class.

This early in the recruiting process, 247Sports does not yet have composite rankings for the 2027 cycle, but Bowman has already earned 18 Division I offers, including Arizona State, Arkansas, Colorado, Colorado State, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, SMU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCF, Utah and Washington.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound prospect played in eight games for California powerhouse Mater Dei in his freshman year and caught 11 passes for 125 yards with four receiving touchdowns.

Jonah Williams includes Ohio State in his top seven

One of Ohio State’s top safety targets in the 2025 class has narrowed down his recruitment. Five-star 2025 Texas product Jonah Williams released a top seven on Friday consisting of Oklahoma, Ohio State, LSU, Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon and USC.

Williams is considered the No. 10 overall player in the 2025 class and has visited Ohio State numerous times, including earlier this month for the Buckeyes’ spring game.

“I spent time with coach Day, coach Matt Guerrieri, and coach Michael Hunter,” Williams told On3. “Their message to me was that I am going to be an impact player in the 2025 class if I were to commit and that they see me as a safety in the recruiting process.”

In his junior year, Williams recorded 58 tackles, four interceptions (three of them returned for touchdowns), two fumble recoveries (one resulting in a score), eight pass deflections and a forced fumble. He returned two kickoffs and two punts for touchdowns on special teams. He also played offense, catching 20 passes for 474 yards with eight touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns.

Williams is scheduled to take visits to OSU, Oklahoma, LSU, Oregon and USC this summer, with the Sooners being the projected favorite to land him as of now. Other top targets at safety for OSU in the 2025 class include Faheem Delane and Trey McNutt.
