Carlos Locklyn has extended another offer to a talented 2026 running back.

Four-star Texas prospect Raycine Guillory Jr. picked up an offer from the Buckeyes on Tuesday, making him the 11th running back in the cycle to earn an OSU offer.

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Guillory is considered the No. 196 overall prospect and the No. 15 running back in the 2026 class. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound running back has earned more than 30 Division I offers, including Arizona, Auburn, Baylor, Georgia, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, SMU, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and USC.

Guillory had been committed to Texas since January, but backed off his pledge and decommitted from the Longhorns in June. In his junior season, Guillory ran for 1,236 yards and 17 rushing touchdowns while catching 10 passes for 175 yards and four touchdowns. As a sophomore, he recorded 769 rushing yards, nine touchdowns, 19 receptions for 154 yards and four receiving touchdowns.

Jonas Williams to commit Sunday

One of the few remaining uncommitted Ohio State quarterback targets for the 2026 class is ready to make a decision.

Four-star Illinois quarterback Jonas Williams announced he’ll commit on Sunday, choosing from a final four of Ohio State, Oregon, Alabama and LSU.

Williams has visited Ohio State twice in his recruitment, once in the fall for the Michigan State game and again in March for a spring practice.

“I really like the atmosphere, seeing the way Ohio State’s offense played was exciting and I thought the team played really well,” Williams told Eleven Warriors after his Michigan State visit.

The Buckeyes offered Williams on his spring trip in March, with the offer coming from Ryan Day. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he is considered the No. 98 overall prospect and the No. 9 quarterback in the 2026 class. He recorded 2,950 total yards and 31 touchdowns in his sophomore season.

A few days ahead of his decision, Oregon is seen as the likely favorite in the recruiting industry. He took visits to both Oregon and LSU last week.

If Williams heads to the Ducks as expected, Brady Palmer would be the lone quarterback prospect in the 2026 class with an Ohio State offer who’s either uncommitted or hasn’t eliminated the Buckeyes from his recruitment. In all likelihood, OSU will probably expand its board this fall.

Deshonne Redeaux puts OSU in top 12

A top-100 running back in the 2026 class is getting closer to making a decision. Four-star 2026 tailback Deshonne Redeaux released a top 12 on Monday consisting of Ohio State, Oklahoma, Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas, Texas A&M, Georgia, Alabama, Oregon, Washington, UCLA and USC.

Redeaux is considered the No. 73 prospect and No. 7 running back in 2026. He’s had a longstanding relationship with Locklyn, as OSU’s running backs coach offered him while he was coaching at Oregon.

In six games as a sophomore, Redeaux ran for 439 yards on 49 carries with five rushing touchdowns. He added six catches for 40 yards in the passing game and served as the team’s kick returner.

Darrion Smith commits to Tennessee

A defensive lineman with an Ohio State offer in the 2025 recruiting class is off the board.

Four-star defensive tackle Darrion Smith committed to Tennessee earlier this week, a move that was expected by most in the recruiting industry. The Buckeyes offered Smith in the spring of 2023, but didn’t make a huge push for him as his recruitment played out.

OSU already has six defensive linemen committed in the 2025 class, but could still add to that total if Malik Autry chooses to flip from Auburn or Jahkeem Stewart reclassifies and decides to become a Buckeye.
