Ohio State used its second off week of the 2024 season to hit the ground running on the recruiting trail and dished out four more offers over the past week.
We’ll break down each of the new offers below, and catch up on another piece of significant recruiting news that broke last week.
Cameron Brickle ll
OSU defensive line coach Larry Johnson extended an offer to Bickle on Wednesday, a 6-foot-2, 305-pound 2026 defensive tackle from Pennsylvania.

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Brickle is considered the No. 342 prospect and the No. 36 defensive lineman in the 2026 cycle. He’s picked up nearly 30 Division I offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Cal, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Brickle has had a strong junior season, as his OSU, Alabama, Cal, Miami and Texas offers have all come within the past 10 days.
Trashawn Ruffin
Johnson wasn’t stopping at offering Brickle and also extended an opportunity to Trashawn Ruffin, a 6-foot-3, 307-pound 2026 defensive tackle from North Carolina.

OSU has work to do to make headway with Ruffin, though, considering he committed to Texas A&M two days after he received the offer from the Buckeyes. This could still be a very open recruitment, though.
The defensive lineman is considered the No. 267 prospect and the No. 28 defensive lineman in the 2026 cycle. He chose the Aggies from an offer sheet of nearly 20 schools, including Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Liberty, Michigan, Missouri, NC State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, USC and Wisconsin.
Six games into his junior year, Ruffin has recorded 20 tackles, three tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. As a sophomore, he racked up 52 tackles, four tackles for loss, four sacks and a fumble recovery.
Alexander Haskell
The third and final defensive line offer of the week went to Alexander Haskell, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound 2026 defensive end from Philadelphia.

Haskell is considered the No. 507 prospect and the No. 43 defensive lineman in the 2026 class. He’s picked up nine Division I offers, which consist of Akron, Duke, Miami, Michigan, Minnesota, Penn State, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Haskell attends St. Joseph's Prep School, which notably produced former OSU players Kyle McCord and Marvin Harrison Jr. and currently is the home of Buckeye commits Maxwell Roy and Isaiah West.
Zaiden McDonald
It wasn’t just an offers week for the trenches. OSU safeties coach Matt Guerrieri got in on the action and offered three-star 2026 New Jersey safety Zaiden McDonald.

McDonald is ranked the No. 540 player and the No. 44 safety in the 2026 cycle. He’s earned 15 Division I offers, including Boston College, UConn, Duke, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Tennessee.
Jared Curtis decommits from Georgia
The No. 1 quarterback in the 2026 class has reopened his recruitment. Five-star signal-caller Jared Curtis decommitted from Georgia on Thursday, citing a desire to explore the recruiting process further and take visits to other schools.

The Bulldogs will still be a contender for Curtis going forward, along with OSU, Oregon, USC, Alabama, Clemson and South Carolina, per On3.
Before committing to Georgia in March, the Buckeyes had a lot of momentum in Curtis’ recruitment. OSU will likely attempt to take another big shot at landing the Tennessee prospect, especially considering the Buckeyes’ options for 2026 at the position since only one other quarterback OSU has offered in that class is uncommitted.
While the Buckeyes will have significant competition in the Curtis sweepstakes, this is a recruitment worth monitoring going forward.
