Linebacker Joshua Perry is an emotional talisman for the Silver Bullets. As such, it's understandable why reporters in Chicago are interested in his #takes surrounding the season-opening suspensions of Joey Bosa, Jalin Marshall, Dontre Wilson, and Corey Smith.
Via CantonRep.com's Todd Porter:
Perry mentions Sam Hubbard, Jalyn Holmes, and Darius Slade by name as young ends he expects to help fill the one-game void left by the dynamic Joey Bosa.
When asked what he'll miss about Bosa's on-the-field presence, Perry dryly replies, "I don't know. Joey's goofy, so he kinda breaks up the games a little bit, but somebody's going to go out there and make plays too."
Urban Meyer said today Ohio State has "recruited well" at the defensive end position. Sam Hubbard and Jalyn Holmes are well known to anybody who followed spring camp, but the inclusion of Slade could speak to another star-in-waiting.
