According to numerous reports, former Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith was arrested in Westerville early Sunday morning on an OVI charge after blowing a .143 following a traffic stop.
Pulled over for improper display of license plates, Smith failed a field sobriety test and was also found to be in possession of marijuana after authorities found a blunt in the vehicle. Smith failed a field sobriety test, and after refusing a breathalyzer test, he was arrested and eventually charged with an OVI.
As such, Smith was also charged with improper display of license plates and possession of marijuana. He would later take to Instagram to explain his actions to his fans and the Ohio State community.
The former Heisman Trophy winner has a court date set for 9 a.m. Wednesday.
