Ezekiel Elliott drew comparisons to Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith even before the Cowboys drafted him with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft on Thursday night.
Zeke arrived in Dallas on Friday. (He can be seen enjoying the opulence of Jerry Jones' private jet in the header photo. A portrait of Emmitt Smith lingers in the back ground.)
Though Elliott is 18,355 rushing yards, 3,224 receiving yards, 175 touchdowns, and three Super Bowl victories behind Smith in the record books, the eight-time Pro Bowler went out of his way to praise the rookie on Twitter, even going as far to say Elliott is better than him.
Dallas fans would be more than satisfied with that.
