A few notes -
- That win against Texas A&M in the 1987 Cotton Bowl was when the Aggies were still in the Southwest Conference. The Buckeyes went 19-2-2 against those teams when the conference existed.
- That game against Oklahoma State in 1989 was hotly anticipated...and then the NCAA's hammer came down on the Cowboys, the absorbed a TV ban and their star running back - a guy named "Barry Sanders" decided his skills were better suited for the NFL and he abruptly left.
- The series with Missouri went on probably longer than you realized. When Ohio State was searching for a coach to replace Wes Felser after the Snow Bowl they actually had a verbal agreement with Missouri coach Don Faurot. He eventually changed his mind and Ohio State "settled" for Woody Hayes instead. Missouri plays its games in Faurot Field still today.
The Buckeyes face the Sooners September 9, 2017 in Ohio Stadium.
