Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye. Across the Shield follows those who once wore Scarlet and Gray on their journeys through the NFL.
Pryor Resides on Revis Island
Earlier this week, New York Jets lockdown cornerback Darrelle Revis called Terrelle Pryor "one of the best athletes in the NFL today."
Turns out, he wasn't wrong.
Pryor backed-up Revis' claims Sunday afternoon, torching the future NFL Hall of Famer on multiple occasions.

The former Buckeye quarterback finished with six catches for 101 yards – a vast improvement from last week when his finest moment was his visit to a local Cleveland haberdasher. Though to be fair, he was nursing a hamstring injury. This week he looked much more like his normal freak-athlete self.
Big Bear Turns Heads
Here's your regular dose of people (justifiably) praising Joey Bosa for being good at football.
A few days after he was named the NFL's Rookie of the Week, Bosa again turned heads during San Diego's matchup with Denver on Sunday.
Though he had just two tackles (including one for a loss) on the game, his presence was felt almost every time he was on the field – a consistent theme all season.
Joey Bosa has 26 pressures in his first four games. That is 8 more pressures than any rusher in their first 4 games in the past decade. pic.twitter.com/WqDXwHzEj5

Pretty sweet for someone who many wrote off as a bust before he could even take the field.
Here, young Bosa slunk past Denver guard Donald Stephenson and annihilated Trevor Siemian just after he got the pass away.

The former Buckeye's play has earned him high praise the past few weeks and he seems to be one of the frontrunners for the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year award despite missing the first four games of the season.
If Joey Bosa had been healthy and ready to go from Week 1 he'd be a strong candidate for defensive player of the year. Not rookie. Player.

Bosa caused that fumble. Best rookie defensive lineman I've ever seen. Kid is a beast. How good was Reggie as a rookie?

How did Browns miss out on Zeke, Bosa and Michael Thomas? All obvious studs. Maybe take some notes at Ohio State Pro Day this year?

Bosa has been a one man wrecking crew today... blowing up Denver OL

The scary part: he's only 21 years old.
The scarier part: He has a brother who may be even better.
Zeke Continues to Run Wild
Ezekiel Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys were off last week and boy we ("we" being my fantasy team) miss him.
In his triumphant return to the gridiron, Elliott gashed Denver for 96 yards on 22 carries, adding four catches for 52 yards. Also, he hurdled yet another human.

Elliott's performance fell short of 100 rushing-yards for the first time in five games, but 148 all-purpose yards is certainly nothing to complain about. The former Buckeye running back was an intregal part of the Cowboys' 29-23 win over the Eagles in overtime.

Here you have some Buckeye on Buckeye crime as Elliott absolutely trucked Malcolm Jenkins. To Jenkins' credit though, he did hang on to make the tackle even if he did get crushed.

Elliott continues to lead the NFL in rushing and would likely run away with the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year award if the season ended today. He's certainly come a long way from leveling Purdue return-men on the kickoff team three years ago.
Play of the Week
This week, our play of the week comes courtesy of former Buckeye corner Bradley Roby, who intercepted a Phillip Rivers pass and took it 51 yards the other way.
The pick-six was the first of Roby's young NFL career and was his second-career touchdown after he returned a fumble for a touchdown last season.
Ohio Against the World
Sadly, I think my best chance for a win is behind me. Bye weeks are killers, especially when they take away touchdown machines like Carlos Hyde. Unfortunately, Rod Smith is not a reliable replacement.
Next week, the Cowboys take on the Cleveland Browns, who are giving up the second-most rushing yards per game to opposing running backs. Needless to say, Ezekiel Elliott could have about 53 points and I might get my first win.
