Bowl season is when American corporations do their best to attach their names to amateur teams that millions of Americans have come to love and know.
You'd be hard pressed to find a better execution of this strategy than Goodyear, which sponsors the 2017 Cotton Bowl. The Akron, Ohio-based company paid artist Blake McFarland to produce two mascot sculptures using 400 tires.
Given that Brutus got the dye job and the Troy Trojan didn't, it's probably safe to assume Goodyear is in the tank for the Buckeyes.
