The betting lines opened for Ohio State-Maryland and Vegas likes the Bucks big. Per Odds Shark, Ohio State will be 31-point favorites when the Terrapins come to town.
That Ohio State should be favored is unsurprising. That Ohio State is favored by this much is a little astonishing. The line opened with Ohio State more a favorite against a solid Maryland team than it was last week against a woeful Rutgers squad.
Maryland is on its third-string quarterback and has a home loss to a Group of Five team on its record. However, this is the same Maryland team that went to Austin and hung 51 points on the Longhorns and left with a 10-point win. Texas was a 19-point favorite that game.
It's also the same team that ran over Minnesota in the Twin Cities this weekend even on its third-string quarterback. The Terrapins beat the Gophers as 13.5-point underdogs.
Ohio State will host Maryland this Saturday on FOX at 4 p.m.
