Getting his first taste of the best rivalry in sports, J.K. Dobbins did not disappoint with a 15-carry, 101-yard rushing performance with a touchdown in Ohio State's 31-20 dispatching of Michigan yesterday in the Big House.
Dobbins' 1-yard plunge late in the third quarter gave Ohio State a 21-20 lead it would not relinquish.
The 100+ yard outing from Dobbins was his fifth of the year and featured zero negative rushing plays. Through 12 games, Dobbins has 1,190 rushing yards on 7.3 carry with seven touchdowns.
Backup right tackle Thayer Munford saw himself pressed into short-term emergency duty as Isaiah Prince suffered an injury and responded with a key block on J.T. Barrett's 21-yard touchdown run cutting Michigan's lead to 14-7 in the second quarter.
Special teams whiz and backup cornerback Jeffrey Okudah posted a nice tackle on punt return but also committed a 15-yard kick catch interference penalty though it didn't come back to haunt the Buckeyes.
