Jones joins Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett, who also accepted his invitation on Tuesday, as a participant in the Shrine Game, which is considered to be the second-most prestigious all-star game for NFL draft prospects.
A first-team All-Big Ten selection this year, Jones is projected as a third-round draft pick and ranked as the No. 89 overall prospect in the 2018 NFL draft class by NFLDraftScout.com, though players projected to go that early in the draft usually receive invitations to the Senior Bowl.
Jones is one of seven Ohio State seniors who have accepted invites to NFL draft all-star games: Jalyn Holmes and Tyquan Lewis have both accepted invitations to the Senior Bowl, while Michael Hill, Marcus Baugh and Chris Worley have accepted invitations to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
