Ryan Shazier provided the most powerful moment of the 2018 NFL Draft's opening round Thursday night when he walked across the stage with his fiancée to announce the Pittsburgh Steelers' selection.
The Steelers selected safety Terrell Edmunds of Virginia Tech.
Shazier hopes to play football again. The Steelers owe him $8.7 million in 2018, which is fully guaranteed against injury. Franchise president Art Rooney II said back in February that Shazier would serve the team in some capacity.
