There will be some new trees in Buckeye Grove.

The first major All-American list was released on Monday afternoon and the Buckeyes are well represented, as Wyatt Davis and Shaun Wade were each named first-team All-Americans by the Associated Press while Haskell Garrett earned second-team honors.

This is Davis' second first-team AP All-American nod after he earned the honor last season, but this marks the first first-team All-American honor for Shaun Wade and the first major All-American honor for Garrett.

Davis can add this award to a growing collection as he was already named the Big Ten's Offensive Lineman of the Year and first-team All-Big Ten. After initially opting out to begin his preparation for the 2021 NFL draft, Davis elected to return to the Buckeyes after the Big Ten reinstated its fall season. As a team captain and veteran presence at right guard, he has helped lead an offense that currently leads all Power Five teams with 251 rushing yards per game and ranks No. 4 in the country with 46.6 points per game.

Wade has also had a decorated season, earning first-team All-Big Ten honors as well as the Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year award. Wade also initially opted out of the season, but ultimately elected to return. Moving to the outside cornerback position for the first time this season after playing safety and in the slot the rest of his career, Wade has 15 total tackles, three passes defended and two interceptions, including a pivotal pick-six during Ohio State's 42-35 win over Indiana.

Garrett earns this honor despite being named just third-team All-Big Ten by the coaches and not even making the media's all-conference game. He was one of the most dominant interior linemen in the country this season, finishing with 17 total tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks and a pick-six to go along with the relentless pressure he's put on opposing quarterbacks this season in addition to his run-stopping ability.

The Associated Press is one of five All-American lists that are used to determine consensus and unanimous All-Americans, joining the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), Sporting News, and the Walter Camp Football Foundation (WCFF). The AP list is the first of the five to be released.
