Ohio State is now 5-for-5 in winning the Big Ten Freshman of the Week award this season.

That streak remains alive as C.J. Stroud receives the award for the third time this season after throwing for 330 yards and five touchdowns in Ohio State’s 52-13 win over Rutgers.

Stroud, a redshirt freshman, has now won the Big Ten Freshman of the Week award after three of his first four starts as a Buckeye. He was also named as the conference's top rookie following the first two starts of his career against Minnesota and Oregon – though this week is the first time Stroud has also graded out as a champion, as he was named Ohio State's offensive player of the week on Sunday.

True freshman running back TreVeyon Henderson was the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after rushing for 270 yards in Ohio State's third game of the season against Tulsa, while true freshman quarterback Kyle McCord received last week's award after starting in place of Stroud against Akron.

Despite battling a shoulder injury in his first three starts of the year, Stroud now has the sixth-highest quarterback rating in the Football Bowl Subdivision (181.9), having completed 64.5 percent of his passing attempts (80 of 124) for 1,293 yards and 13 touchdowns with three interceptions. His passer rating of 266.2 against Rutgers was the third-highest by any FBS quarterback in a single game this season.
