Jack Miller will remain suspended from all team activities through at least the end of the week after he was arrested on Friday for operating a vehicle while impaired.
Ryan Day said Tuesday that Miller’s suspension remains indefinite as of now, and Ohio State is still gathering information before deciding how to move forward with Miller.
“Just to kind of get more information about how things are gonna be handled and what the conclusion and the findings are of everything,” Day said Tuesday. “So we’re just making sure that we have all the information before we make a decision about moving forward.”
Miller is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. Friday at the Franklin County Municipal Court on misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle while impaired and driving in marked lanes, stemming from an arrest an approximately 1:28 a.m. last Friday, when he was stopped by an Ohio State Highway Patrol after he was seen swerving in and out of lanes. (Update: Miller’s arraignment has been continued to next Thursday, and he has hired a defense attorney.)
As seen in dashcam video provided to media outlets on Monday, Miller told the officer who stopped him that he had not been drinking, but was ultimately placed under arrest after field sobriety tests were conducted.
