After each Ohio State win in 2023, we will select one offensive Buckeye and one defensive Buckeye with player of the game honors.
Following Ohio State's 17-14 win over Notre Dame in its fourth regular-season contest, running back Chip Trayanum is the Eleven Warriors offensive player of the game, and safety Lathan Ransom is the defensive player of the game.
Congratulations to the Eleven Warriors players of the game for Ohio State's 17-14 win over Notre Dame.

A quick look at the box scores does not reflect the impact of Trayanum's performance on Saturday, as the veteran running back recorded 13 yards on six carries and 12 yards on one catch. However, one of those carries came on Ohio State's last play of the game, as Trayanum received a handoff from quarterback Kyle McCord and plunged into the end zone for a game-winning touchdown that put Ohio State up 17-14 with one second remaining in the top-10 matchup.

Trayanum was Ohio State's second-leading rusher against Notre Dame, as star running back TreVeyon Henderson ran for 104 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries. Henderson's efforts earned unofficial honorable-mention recognition from Eleven Warriors, as his efforts undoubtedly helped the Buckeyes defeat the Irish in South Bend, Indiana.

Ransom was Ohio State's defensive leader on Saturday with a career-high 13 tackles and seven solo stops. A former Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist, Ransom was the backbone of Jim Knowles' safety-driven defense, which allowed 351 yards of offense and 14 points to Notre Dame. The Irish had scored over 40 points in each of its first four regular-season matchups with Navy, Tennesee State, NC State and Central Michigan.
Trayanum and Ransom are the fourth pair of Buckeyes to be named players of the game. Cade Stover and Sonny Styles received top honors in Week 1, while Marvin Harrison Jr. and Tommy Eichenberg (Week 2) and Kyle McCord and Tyleik Williams (Week 3) earned the nod in the previous two games.
We will keep a running chart of all the recipients as the season continues, with the individual awards to be posted on our social media accounts and the website each Sunday after an Ohio State win.
