Cade Stover has now drawn the eyes of college football's most prestigious award for pass catchers.
On Wednesday, The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation added Stover to its watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, presented annually to the best pass-catcher in college football, regardless of position.
Congratulations to @OhioStateFB TE Cade Stover, who has been named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list. The award is presented to the outstanding receiver regardless of position. Stover ranks No 3. nationally among TEs in both receptions (27) and receiving yards (429). pic.twitter.com/ywkEahtUAf

After a four-catch, 70-yard performance in Ohio State's top-10 win over Penn State, Stover's receiving production increased to 27 receptions for 429 yards and three touchdowns across seven games in 2023. Stover is on pace for a 797-yard season if he and the Buckeyes only play 13 games. That number would set a school record for a tight end, surpassing Billy Anders' 671 yards in 1966.
Stover is one of four tight ends on the Biletnikoff Award watch list, along with Georgia's Brock Bowers, Syracuse's Oronde Gadsden II and Colorado State's Dallin Holker. Two of Stover's teammates, Ohio State wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuk, are also featured on the list.
While tight ends, running backs and all other eligible receiving positions are eligible for the Biletnikoff, only wideouts have taken home the hardware since the award was created in 1994.
