Austin Mack is a champion in his first CFL season.
The former Ohio State wide receiver was among the stars of Sunday night’s Grey Cup, the Canadian equivalent of the Super Bowl, as he caught six passes for a team-high 103 yards and a touchdown to help lead the Montreal Alouettes to a 28-24 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Mack’s highlights for the night included a pair of spectacular downfield catches – one of the one-handed variety – as well as a go-ahead touchdown on a bubble screen in the fourth quarter.

The championship caps off a highly successful first season north of the border for Mack, who was also a CFL All-Star as one of the league’s top wide receivers this season. Mack was one of the CFL’s most productive wideouts this year, catching 84 passes for 1,257 yards and five touchdowns in 18 games.
