Lee Corso had an opportunity to pick Ohio State and wear the Brutus Buckeye headgear for a 46th time in his career on ESPN College GameDay at the Cotton Bowl.
Instead, he opted to become the only dissenting member of the desk and chose the Texas Longhorns to advance to the College Football Playoff National Championship game.

In a rare sight, all other members of the pregame show — including Desmond Howard — predicted Ohio State to win. Nick Saban himself expressed somewhat sarcastic shock at Howard's choice. Pat McAfee gave a horns down signal to the Lone Star State crowd as he announced his choice, which he playfully acknowledged on the broadcast as answered by several fans with a one-finger gesture of their own.

Corso had picked the Buckeyes for the 44th and 45th times on GameDay previously in this year's CFP against Tennessee and Oregon, respectfully. He correctly picked Notre Dame over Penn State in yesterday's other semifinal game, nearly falling over on stage while dancing with the Fighting Irish Leprechaun to close out the show.
