The former Ohio State running back is the latest transfer addition for Deion Sanders’ program, giving his commitment to Colorado on Monday, one week after he officially announced he would enter the transfer portal.

Hayden joins a Buffaloes program that is experiencing significant transfer turnover for the second year in a row under Sanders. He’ll join a backfield led by one of the nation’s top returning quarterbacks, Shedeur Sanders, as the Buffaloes look for improved results after a 4-8 2023 season in which they lost eight of their final nine games.
While Hayden would have been no higher than third on Ohio State’s running back depth chart, he projects to be a top-two running back for the Buffaloes alongside sophomore Dylan Edwards.
Hayden brings three years of eligibility to Colorado after redshirting at Ohio State last season.
Six days into the post-spring transfer window, Hayden remains one of only two Buckeyes who have entered the portal since the end of spring practice. The other, safety Cedrick Hawkins, announced his commitment to UCF on Saturday.
