Davis becomes the third former Ohio State offensive lineman on the Browns’ current roster, joining Dawand Jones and Luke Wypler. The Browns’ roster also includes three former Ohio State defenders: cornerback Denzel Ward, safety Ronnie Hickman and rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr., who also signed his contract – a four-year deal worth a little over $7 million – with the Browns on Friday.

Davis has had a journeyman NFL career since the Minnesota Vikings selected him in the third round of the 2021 draft. Davis spent just one year with the Vikings before they waived him. He has since had stints with the New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints, but did not play in any regular-season games last year after suffering a preseason ankle injury with the Giants.
