The freshmen keep having a field day for Ohio State against Akron.
In the wake of wide receiver Jeremiah Smith's eye-popping debut, freshman running back James Peoples scored his first career touchdown to make it three touchdowns for first-year Buckeyes against the Zips. It was Peoples' first career carry.

Peoples emerged as Ohio State's third-string running back behind TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins in preseason camp. He came to Columbus with a solid recruiting pedigree, a four-star prospect out of Texas ranked 115th overall and No. 8 at running back in the 247Sports composite.
Now he's already got a 4-yard score to his credit, the first of many touchdowns planned for his Buckeye career.
