Marvin Harrison Jr.’s rise to NFL stardom has officially begun.
After a disappointing first game in which he caught just one pass for four yards, it didn’t take long for Harrison to remind everyone in his second NFL game why he was the 2023 Biletnikoff Award winner and the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
The former Ohio State wide receiver scored two touchdowns in the first seven minutes of the first quarter of the Arizona Cardinals’ second game of the season against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Harrison made a toe-tapping 23-yard catch at the back of the end zone for his first NFL points, then followed that up with a 60-yard touchdown catch-and-run less than three minutes of game time later.

Harrison followed that up with two more catches on the Cardinals’ next drive, bringing him to four catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns before the first quarter was even over.

Those four catches would be Harrison’s only four catches of the game, but those proved to be more than enough as the Cardinals earned a 41-10 win over the Rams for their first victory of the year.
Collectively, wide receivers from Ohio State combined to catch 33 passes for 463 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday as Jaxon Smith-Njigba (who had a career-high 12 catches for 117 yards), Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Noah Brown and Terry McLaurin also helped their teams earn Week 2 wins.
