Sam Hubbard proved he could do more than just play defense on Sunday.
The former Ohio State defensive end has seen occasional action as a tight end for the Cincinnati Bengals this season, and he turned one of those opportunities into a touchdown catch against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

The catch came from Hubbard’s close friend and former Ohio State teammate Joe Burrow, who saved the ball for Hubbard to have as a keepsake.

The touchdown came on the first reception of Hubbard’s NFL career. Overall, it’s the third touchdown Hubbard has scored in the NFL. He returned a fumble for a 19-yard touchdown in his rookie season in 2018 and had a 98-yard romp for a fumble return touchdown in the Cincinnati Bengals’ playoff win over the Baltimore Ravens in January 2023.
Unfortunately, the touchdown catch ended Hubbard’s day as he suffered a knee injury on the play and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
