Jim Harbaugh will now be coaching two former Ohio State running backs.
Ezekiel Elliott is joining J.K. Dobbins in Los Angeles as the Chargers signed Elliott to their practice squad on Monday, according to multiple reports.

While Dobbins is the Chargers’ starting running back, having rushed for 905 yards and nine touchdowns on 195 carries this season, Elliott gives the Chargers another depth option for the playoffs. He joins the Chargers’ practice squad after requesting his release from the Cowboys last week.
Although Elliott isn’t yet on the Chargers’ 53-man roster, he could still potentially play in their Wild Card game against the Houston Texans on Saturday (4:30 p.m., CBS), as NFL rules allow teams to elevate up to two players from their practice squads each week.
Elliott rushed for 226 yards and three touchdowns on 74 carries in 15 games with the Cowboys this season.
