You heard his name all spring, so it should hardly come as a surprise.
Ohio State freshman offensive lineman was practicing without a black stripe on his helmet Sunday afternoon when the Buckeyes took the field for their first practice of 2016.
Jordan is battling for a starting spot along the offensive line and is the favorite to land the left guard position. He has a chance to become Urban Meyer's first true freshman to start on the offensive line since Maurkice Pouncey at Florida.
Jordan is a 6-foot-7, 310-pounder hailing from Canton, Michigan. He was the 14th-rated offensive tackle in the 2016 class and the No. 128th-ranked player in the class.
Fellow true freshman Austin Mack, a wide receiver, had his black stripe removed during spring practice. It's unclear right now when Jordan lost his, but he certainly wasn't donning it Sunday.
